Journal Indexes

Use Proquest http://library.spokanefalls.edu/_auth/journal.asp to search for articles about your fiber or fabric.

Articles illustrating fabrics and fibers in the fashion industry are often found in:

  • Woman's Wear Daily (WWD)
  • W
  • Ornament

For best results use the Boolean AND & OR to limit your search to articles involving fashion, apparel, retailing, or trends. For example:

  • Lace AND (Fashion OR Apparel OR trends)

A more advanced search could use the ProQuest NAIC indexing for the textiles and apparel industry: 31*:

  • cotton AND 31* (select NAIC from the pull-down menu)
